Fancy something a bit different this Easter Holiday? Join us at the George IV for a brilliant rendition of the much-loved panto Mother Goose!

Mother Goose and her silly son Billy are down on their luck. But a kindly fairy, seeing how much Mother Goose does for her local community, decides to help her and sends them the answer to all of their problems in the form of Priscilla – a goose that lays golden eggs!

However, our Fairy's nemesis, Demonic Dominic, is determined to prove that no human being will ever be content with what they have:

"Search all the world and you will fail to find, a man or woman with a contented mind"

So Dominic sets out to lure Mother Goose into temptation and the chance to bathe in the fountain of eternal youth in return for the Golden Goose.

Will Mother Goose be able to resist temptation? Will Priscilla be safe from Demonic Damian? Will science ever be able to explain how a goose can lay a golden egg?

Find the answer to some of these questions in our brilliant family pantomime at the pub! Expect brightly coloured costumes, song and dance numbers that will amaze, and more than a few jokes just for the grown ups. This is an Easter treat that is truly for the whole family!

After worrying that pantomime was for kids we went anyway. What a bundle of joy. Loads of silly jokes, plot twists, and slapstick fun all presented by a 5 person company (only 4 on stage) Loads of fun in a pub with a pint for each half - what's not to like?

We had a fantastic evening, haven’t laughed as much in ages. I came with my parents and my two young children (6 and 9) and we all enjoyed the performance! The performers were super talented! Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a pantomime in a slightly alternative setting!
